Stuart Green

 

Stuart Green began working with CCIF in 2006, supporting various projects in both Indonesia and the Philippines. Stuart is a marine biologist with extensive Integrated Coastal Management experience - its implementation and evaluation within the Asia Pacific - with a particular emphasis on MPA management. He has been based in SE Asia since 1994 and has worked extensively in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and, more recently, Papua New Guinea.

 

Stuart has considerable field experience and has worked in a variety of the disciplines within Coastal Management including tourism, planning, law enforcement, threatened species, MPA networks, fisheries certification, and ecosystems-based fisheries management amongst others. He specializes in capacity building and working with government and local stakeholders to ensure models of good practice are working on the ground. He also has considerable experience in planning, facilitating and executing a variety of village level, national and international workshops.

 

Stuart has a BS in Applied Biology and an MS in Integrated Coastal Zone Management, both from the University of Ulster, U.K. He is currently in his second year of a Masters in Business Administration with the School of Management, University of Leicester, U.K. Stuart has produced a large variety of publications in recent years and has presented his work at numerous international conferences. He is a strong believer in transparency and team work and is a trainer in Technology of Participation.
