John Claussen

John Claussen, the Director of CCIF, has been involved in the launch and management of CCIF since its inception in 2001. John plays a key role in the day-to-day guidance and management of CCIF’s programmatic and fundraising efforts and is also involved in the design and implementation of CCIF’s conservation financing programs.  John is based in Indonesia where he leads activities in research, analysis, and overall project management of CCIF’s conservation and sustainable economic development programs.

John also has a great deal of experience designing and implementing sustainable business initiatives for a wide variety of clients in the manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and related industries. He has consulted and presented extensively on this subject in North America, Singapore, Korea, and the Philippines for more than five years.  

Prior to CCIF, John held a project manager position with a leading environmental engineering firm in California and a government relations position with a biotechnology firm in Massachusetts.

Mr. Claussen holds a B.S. in Biology from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and is involved in numerous educational and professional organizations.
